About Me

I’m a web developer with Duke Web Services, the central web development groupĀ at Duke University. My specialty is building websites in clean HTML/CSS with careful attention to accessibility guidelines and cross-browser compatibility. I develop sites in Drupal, WordPress andĀ Cascade Server content management systems, and also create custom web-based applications using PHP and MySQL database back ends.

I also freelance.

I’ve been in North Carolina since 2005, but I grew up in the Boston area and lived in Indiana for a while, too. In a fit of collegiate overachievism, I triple-majored in comparative literature, gender studies and classical studies, and minored in computer science. I also hold a masters degree in information science. Both my undergrad and graduate degrees are from Indiana University.

You (and spammers) can email me at chris [at] christinadulude.com .

For fun, I like to hike and backpack and ski, and generally just be outside. My favorite places for hiking in the region are the Smoky Mountains and Linville Gorge, but I’d love to spend more time in the western US. I also enjoy the symphony, theatre, and independent films.

I have never scrapbooked.

Nora and Luna

These are my dogs Nora and Luna, who are both adopted from the APS of Durham. Luna is a lab/pointer mix with a serious tennis ball habit I adopted her in January 2006 when she was one year old. Nora is a lab/boxer mix who likes to destroy pillows. I adopted her in December 2008 when she was a 5 month old puppy.

I’m terrible at geography. I drink far too much coffee than can possibly be good for me. My favorite colors are #660000 and #000055.

This site is powered by WordPress, but customized with my own PHP code and graphics. And like 90% of the websites I’ve ever developed, the design of this site includes at least one gradient.
